YSRTP Chief YS Sharmila took a sensational decision not to contest in the upcoming elections in Telangana. This comes as a quite shocker as Sharmila a few days back announced that her party is going to contest all the seats in Telangana. In the press meet, YS Sharmila explained the reasons behind her shocking decision.
“I have complete belief in myself. I thought that I could win and enter the assembly. We have finalized a few members as well. But now we are backing out as I am against splitting the anti-KCR vote. There are high chances that the BRS is going to lose. So, I have decided to support the Congress party completely. Last time, when I met Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, they treated me like their family member. I want Congress to win this election. I urge the YSRTP members to understand the situation and support my decision,” said Sharmila in the press meet.
