The president of APCC, Sharmila, voiced her concerns about the declining values within the BJP. She criticized the BJP’s governance, stating that it is detrimental to the nation. Sharmila accused the BJP of engaging in divisive politics by exploiting religious sentiments and exacerbating caste tensions. She called for the removal of the BJP from power, attributing corruption to its influence over various institutions.
These remarks were made by Sharmila during a meeting of the Indian alliance parties in Vijayawada, where Jai Bharat Party president and former CBI JD Lakshminarayana were also present.
Sharmila highlighted the perceived lack of contribution by the BJP to the country’s development, alleging that it has allowed the exploitation of resources by conglomerates like Ambanis and Adanis. She criticized the alleged preferential treatment given to these companies by local governments, citing examples such as the Gangavaram port in AP being leased to Adani at a reduced rate. Additionally, she expressed concern over potential plans to hand over the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant to them.
