Amaravati: The opposition India Alliance, led by the Congress, is in the process of arranging seat allocations across states. In Andhra Pradesh, Congress President YS Sharmila met with leaders from CPI and CPM to discuss seat-sharing. While Sharmila initially aimed to contest all assembly and Lok Sabha seats in AP, discussions now revolve around accommodating alliance partners within the India Alliance.
Sharmila emphasized the Congress’s commitment to fighting for Andhra Pradesh’s rights and discussed the importance of unity to counter the BJP’s influence. Joint efforts with Left parties were highlighted, with plans for finalizing seat adjustments soon to ensure the state’s welfare and the fulfillment of bifurcation promises.
