In Bapatla, Sharmila, the AP PCC president, criticized Jagan for failing to provide a single job calendar in five years, accusing YSRCP of preparing to deceive the public once more. She questioned why voters should support YSRCP MLAs who neglected their constituents’ needs. Speaking at a public gathering in Karlapalem, she called out Bapatla MLA Kona Raghupathi for alleged involvement in sand smuggling and illegal land occupation.

Sharmila condemned the rampant corruption in land acquisition for housing projects meant for the poor, emphasizing that had the state been granted special category status, youth employment opportunities would have increased. She accused Jagan of neglecting farmers’ welfare and mocked his claims of being a fierce leader, likening him to a timid cat aligning with the BJP.

She challenged the legitimacy of Jagan’s succession to YSR’s legacy and criticized the readiness to incur massive debts for elections. Furthermore, she raised concerns about the sale of liquor produced by the state under Jagan’s administration.
