YS Sharmila, the sister of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and President of AP Congress, has accused him of engaging in underhanded political tactics. Speaking in Kadapa today, she claimed that Jagan was levying false accusations against her. She challenged Jagan to provide evidence supporting his claim that she had aligned with Chandrababu. Sharmila questioned the basis of such allegations: “When did I solely undertake a padayatra for Jagan, only at Chandrababu’s behest that day?” She also pointed out other alleged collaborations, such as Sunitha’s supposed alliance with Chandrababu and claims of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy being swayed by Chandrababu’s influence.
Sharmila expressed concerns about Chandrababu’s purported dominance in the political arena, attributing responsibility for various occurrences to him. She suggested an obsession on Chandrababu’s part towards Jagan, expressing apprehension about Jagan’s mental state: “Is Jagan beginning to resemble Chandrababu when he looks in the mirror?” To address this, Sharmila metaphorically proposed sending a mirror to Jagan, urging him to introspect and discern whether he sees his own reflection or Chandrababu’s.
