Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his belief that the previous BRS government should have acknowledged and apologized for any mistakes regarding irrigation projects, garnering some degree of appreciation from the Telangana community. Speaking during a brief discussion in the Assembly on the white paper released by the Telangana government on the irrigation sector, Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of acknowledging errors and offering constructive suggestions.

Highlighting the opposition parties’ concerns regarding the irrigation sector, Revanth Reddy revealed the establishment of a committee of retired engineers to assess Godavari projects under the previous government. He pledged to present the committee’s report to the House, noting discrepancies in project redesigning decisions. Revanth Reddy stressed the need for accountability and transparency, cautioning against attempts to deflect criticism or conceal mistakes.
