AMaravati: MP Galla Jayadev declared on Sunday his decision not to participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and complete withdrawal from active politics. As a prominent leader within the Telugu Desam Party, Jayadev’s announcement has created ripples in political circles. Having secured victory twice as a Member of Parliament, he is currently dedicated to serving the constituents of Guntur. Jayadev, the son of former Minister Galla Aruna Kumari, followed in his mother’s footsteps to embark on his political journey.
Originally a businessman, MP Jayadev extended his public service beyond politics, engaging in various business ventures and Amar Raja Batteries Company. Notably, he shares a family connection with the renowned actor Krishna, being the brother-in-law of the popular hero Mahesh Babu. Having triumphed in two previous elections, Jayadev has already announced his intention not to contest for a third time. Despite stepping away from active politics, he conveyed an emotional message to the people of Guntur, party members, and leaders.
