Former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao made allegations against CM Jagan Reddy, likening him to a character from the movie “Spyder,” named Bhairava. Rao expressed these views during a media interaction at the TDP office on Tuesday. He accused Jagan of employing intimidation tactics against TDP leaders to dissuade them from participating in the upcoming elections, branding it as vendetta politics. Devineni Uma cited the recent raids conducted by CID officials on the residences and offices of former minister Narayana and his associates in Nellore as examples of Jagan’s alleged vendetta. Devineni Uma further pointed out the case involving Sharath, the son of former minister Prathipati Pulla Rao, who was arrested on charges unrelated to governmental jurisdiction.
Additionally, he mentioned an ongoing inquiry by the central probe agency DGGI into Alexa Corporation, a construction firm wherein family members hold directorial positions, for allegedly seeking tax exemptions amounting to Rs 8 crore. The Managing Director of Alexa Corporation, Jogeshwar Rao, appeared in court to provide an explanation, acknowledging his responsibility for the company’s affairs. The company officials clarified that Alexa Corporation had no association with the state CRDA.
