AP Government Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy accused TDP President Chandrababu Naidu of orchestrating a massive Rs 1 lakh crore scam under the guise of IMG Bharat. He alleged that Chandrababu had managed to escape legal consequences due to YSR’s intervention. Sajjala portrayed Chandrababu as not just a local but an international swindler, drawing parallels between his actions in Amaravati and those of IMG. The IMG Bharat scam involved the fraudulent acquisition of 850 acres of land, rights over LB Stadium and other Hyderabad stadiums, substantial annual subsidies for maintenance expenses, and unrestrained access to stadium resources. The Chandrababu government’s MoU with IMG Bharat facilitated these favorable terms, which were deemed questionable even by the High Court after two decades.
