The 27th National Youth Festival was inaugurated today by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Nashik, Maharashtra. Commencing the event, Shri Modi paid homage to the portraits of Swami Vivekananda and Rajmata Jijau. He witnessed a state team’s march past and a cultural program themed ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047 – Yuva ke liye, Yuva ke dwara,’ featuring Rhythmic gymnastics, Mallakhamb, Yogasana, and the National Youth Festival song. In his address to the audience, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of India’s youth power on this day and dedicated it to the inspirational figure of Swami Vivekananda.
Shri Modi extended his best wishes to the youth on National Youth Day, celebrated on Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary. He also acknowledged the birth anniversary of Rajmata Jijabai, a symbol of India’s women power, expressing gratitude for being present in Maharashtra on this meaningful occasion.
