In Andhra Pradesh, the pension and volunteer situation has escalated significantly. Perni Nani, former minister and YSRCP MLA, addressed the matter in a press conference, questioning who halted pension disbursements. With 66 lakh pensioners in AP, a program was set to provide pensions for three days through 2.50 lakh volunteers. However, this initiative has been obstructed, allegedly by Chandrababu’s influence, from Delhi down to the mandal level.
Chandrababu retorted, accusing the current administration of lacking empathy and solely viewing the poor as a vote bank. The TDP members rejoiced when the Central Election Commission ordered the removal of volunteers. Nani asserted that despite any opposition, pension distribution in AP would persist.
