Srikakulam: Nara Lokesh, the TDP national general secretary, pressed on with his ‘Shankharavam Yatra’ in Srikakulam district today, following his earlier engagement in a meeting at Narasannapeta constituency. Addressing a gathering in Srikakulam constituency later in the day, Lokesh reaffirmed the TDP’s commitment to its workers, emphasizing their unwavering support over the years amidst changing leadership. In his speech, Lokesh criticized the ruling party, asserting that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s administration has failed to deliver for Andhra Pradesh.
Citing claims from YSRCP MPs, he highlighted the absence of significant efforts towards securing special category status for the state, promising to vigorously pursue this if given the opportunity. Lokesh also questioned the efficacy of YSRCP’s parliamentary representation, pointing out their numerical advantage in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha yet purported lack of advocacy for the state’s interests. Allegations of MPs prioritizing personal matters over state issues further fueled his criticism.
