TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh urged for a focused political effort for three months, contrasting Chandrababu’s long-term development vision with short-term politics. Praising Chandrababu’s leadership for completing projects like the Gandikota and facilitating water supply to Pulivendula, Lokesh criticized the failure to decentralize development despite promises. Addressing a public meeting in Rajampet, Kadapa district, Lokesh appealed for the TDP’s return to power.
Highlighting the achievements during their tenure, Lokesh cited signed contracts worth Rs 12-15 lakh crore and job agreements benefiting 35 lakh unemployed youth, including significant investments like Kia Motors and HCL. He emphasized the creation of 44,000 industries and employment for 6 lakh individuals under TDP governance. Lokesh also noted developmental initiatives in Kadapa, such as the Ontimitta temple’s Rs 100 crore renovation.
Critiquing Jagan’s unfulfilled promises, Lokesh questioned the lack of job creation despite assurances of 2.30 lakh jobs annually. He accused Jagan of neglecting the state’s interests, alleging failure to pursue special category status despite adequate parliamentary representation. Lokesh challenged YSRCP’s record of bringing industries and job opportunities despite winning all seats in the 2019 elections.
