Payakaraopeta: Nara Lokesh conducted a program Mahasakthi at Chinnadoddigallu village in the Payakaraopeta constituency today, engaging in a face-to-face meeting with the women. During the event, Peddapalli Lakshmi from Thamara village in Narsipatnam constituency shared her grievance with Lokesh. She recounted the tragic incident where her 25-year-old son, Sai, lost his life after being struck by a sand-smuggling tractor associated with YSRCP leaders in their village. She alleged foul play and injustice.
Despite promises of Rs 25,000 compensation, YSRCP leaders reportedly silenced any dissent. Lakshmi tearfully expressed her struggles, particularly in arranging her daughter’s marriage. Upon learning of Peddapalli Lakshmi’s distressing situation, Nara Lokesh was moved and promptly announced a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh for her family.
Additionally, Venkatalakshmi, a differently-abled woman, voiced her complaint that the Jagan government had discontinued welfare programs for people with disabilities. While scooties were distributed during the previous TDP government, the current administration has ceased this assistance. In response to Venkatalakshmi’s plea, Lokesh pledged to provide her with a scooty.
