While Chandrababu endeavors to transform Visakhapatnam into an IT hub, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh accuses the Jagan government of turning the city into a hub for illicit activities, particularly the trade of ganja. Speaking at the Shankharavam meeting in Visakhapatnam East constituency on Sunday, Lokesh reminisced about the TDP regime’s efforts, where Chandrababu facilitated the establishment of an IT company in the city every month.
In contrast, Lokesh decried the current state of affairs under Jagan’s governance, alleging a surge in crimes such as murder, kidnapping, and corruption on a daily basis. He criticized Jagan’s involvement in plans to privatize the Visakhapatnam Steel Company, vowing that the TDP would thwart such efforts and emerge victorious in the upcoming elections to safeguard the factory. Lokesh pledged to bring a railway zone to the city and vowed to fulfill Chandrababu’s promises, including those related to the Super 6 initiatives, upon returning to power. He further outlined ambitious plans to generate 20 lakh jobs for the youth, provide Rs 3,000 for the unemployed, and offer Rs 1,500 to women within a span of five years.
