Amaravati: Nara Chandrababu Naidu, leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has strongly criticized the handling of the Group-1 Mains examination, as per the 2018 notification by the Andhra Pradesh’s Public Service Commission (APPSC). He squarely blamed Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, alleging that the YSRC government has turned the PSC into a tool for political favoritism. Addressing the media at his Undavalli residence on Friday, Naidu emphasized the irregularities within the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), pointing out that these discrepancies are causing distress among job seekers.
He specifically targeted IPS officers, including PSC chairman Gautam Sawang, former secretary P.S.R. Anjaneyulu, and another official named Dhanunjaya Reddy, for their alleged involvement in mismanaging PSC affairs. Naidu reiterated his demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the irregularities within the APPSC. Despite the Group-1 notification being issued during his tenure as Chief Minister in December 2018, he noted that the preliminary exam was conducted under the YSRC government
