New Delhi: In New Delhi today, a Delhi court granted an extension of Enforcement Directorate custody for BRS leader K Kavitha, who is implicated in the Delhi excise policy scam case, until March 26. The federal investigative agency had requested a five-day prolongation of her custody.
The ED has levelled accusations against Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, asserting her involvement as a significant figure in the ‘South Group.’ This group stands accused of allegedly providing kickbacks of ₹100 crore to the AAP in exchange for a substantial portion of liquor licenses in the national capital. During the court appearance, the ED disclosed that she was confronted with statements from four individuals and a forensic analysis report of data extracted from her phone.
