Hyderabad: A delegation of five Ministers, including Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, and Komati Reddy Venkata Reddy, inspected the Medigadda barrage as part of the Kaleshwaram project. They expressed suspicions that longstanding concerns about the project had been validated, attributing it to the previous government. Uttam Kumar Reddy expressed disappointment over an incident at Medigadda and announced plans to grant national status to the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project.
He criticized former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for a lack of response and highlighted a substantial increase in project costs. Komati Reddy Venkata Reddy raised concerns about the project’s location, questioned KCR’s role as Engineer-in-Chief, and criticized expenditures and alleged political conspiracies. Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy recalled efforts by the Congress CM Rajasekhara Reddy to construct the project near Tummadi Hetti at a different level.
