BRS working president KT Rama Rao voiced allegations that the minor issue at Medigadda Barrage is being unduly magnified. This assertion came following the ‘Chalo Medigadda’ march organized by BRS leaders on Friday, during which the barrage was inspected by BRS MLAs, experts, and the media. Subsequently, KTR called for the establishment of an expert committee to address the depression at Medigadda, stressing the need for prompt corrective measures.
He criticized attempts to exaggerate a minor problem and discredit the necessity of the Kaleshwaram project, dismissing claims of Rs 1 lakh crore wastage as ironic. KTR emphasized the importance of not venting grievances against BRS onto farmers and the state, highlighting that the issue only affects a small section (50 meters) of the 1.6-kilometer-long barrage.
