He also accused opposition leaders and their relatives of disseminating false information on social media and engaging in character assassination, noting a shift towards personal attacks.
Speaking to the media in Nellore, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy addressed comments made by YSRCP MP Vijaysai Reddy and MLA Prasanna Kumar, highlighting the circulation of disturbing content on certain social media platforms. He cautioned the ruling party to remember their inability to sway election outcomes despite their control over media channels before the Telangana elections. He refuted allegations made by MLA Prasanna Kumar against Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and Prasanthi Reddy, who are representing the Telugu Desam Party.
He criticized Prasanna Kumar for derogatory remarks against Prasanthi Reddy and accused him of being alarmed by her candidacy, evident in his changed demeanour. He defended Prabhakar Reddy’s character, emphasizing his philanthropic endeavours, and alleged betrayal by the YSRCP. He warned Prasanna Kumar against further disparaging remarks towards Vemireddy, asserting his readiness to retaliate if necessary.
