Nellore Rural MLA Kotamredd Sridhar Reddy claimed that the government was targeting Narayana, the TDP candidate from the Nellore city constituency, through various means. He asserted that despite the challenges faced by the YSRCP, many individuals are defecting to the TDP and Jana Sena, prompting the ruling party to engage in retaliatory actions. He cited the harassing former minister Narayana as an example of this behavior. Furthermore, Kotamreddy highlighted the numerous cases filed against Narayana during the YSRCP’s five-year tenure, alleging harassment and intimidation tactics employed by the police.
He accused the police of disrupting TDP and Jana Sena meetings and coercing leaders to attend police stations, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation. He urged the Central Election Commission to intervene and conduct a thorough investigation into the situation in Andhra Pradesh to ensure fair and transparent elections.
