Machilipatnam MP Vallabhaneni Balasouri, who recently resigned from the YSRCP, has now joined the Jana Sena Party. He has been critical of the sand policy implemented by the Andhra Pradesh government, alleging that it serves Jagan’s interests at the expense of others. Balasouri claimed that the current administration has scrapped the previous government’s free sand policy, resulting in artificial sand scarcity and unemployment among workers.
Furthermore, he accused YSRCP leaders of overseeing unauthorized sand mining operations, leading to substantial financial losses. Balasouri expressed concern over the complicity of district collectors in illegal mining activities, warning of potential consequences for them in the future. He labeled the issue of sand mining in the state as a significant scandal, suggesting that only a few families benefit financially from it. Balasouri called for action from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to uncover the masterminds behind the illicit practices and emphasized public discontent with the Jagan administration.
