Senior TDP leader Devineni Umamaheswara Rao held a press conference at NTR Bhavan in Amaravati. He reacted to CM Jagan’s visit to the I-PAC office in Vijayawada and his claims of winning more than 151 assembly seats and over 22 Lok Sabha seats in the next elections.
During the press conference, Uma expressed confidence that CM Jagan will be shocked by the results on June 4. He predicted that Jagan’s defeat will surprise the nation and bring happiness to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
“After witnessing five years of anarchy and corrupt governance, lakhs of people from across the country and neighboring states stood for hours in the scorching heat to cast their votes,” Uma stated. “In Palnadu, women will stand and vote without crossing the compound wall, showcasing the disastrous defeat awaiting this government. Jagan Reddy, what have you achieved in these five years to dream of returning to power? All your illusions will be dispelled on June 4. You’re now relying on I-PAC instead of engaging with your own MLAs and MPs,” he added.
Uma likened Jagan’s statements to those of historical dictators, saying, “When the Allied army was marching into Berlin, Hitler assured his army of victory. Even in Hitler’s absence, Goebbels claimed, ‘We’re going to win.’ Similarly, Sajjala is acting as Goebbels in our state.”
He questioned Jagan’s achievements, “What have you done to win MP seats? Today, there are claims that even Pulivendula in Kadapa district is in doubt for you. The media and social media are abuzz, and after three days, you’ve come out to talk to the I-PAC team. The volunteers you relied on have been intercepted, and crucial data has been compromised. You handed over personal information of the people to the I-PAC team. This issue will be addressed by the upcoming NDA government under Chandrababu’s leadership.”
Uma concluded with a series of rhetorical questions, “Will you win after killing Babai? Will people vote for you after you raised prices, taxes, and accumulated Rs 8 lakh crore in debt, burdening the poor? Are you dreaming of victory after diverting Rs 1.5 lakh crore from SC/ST sub-plan funds? You canceled more than 100 schemes for SCs, STs, BCs, and minorities. What are you dreaming of?”
