In Amaravati, former minister and senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Devineni Uma accused Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of repeatedly deceiving the public with lies. Uma criticized Jagan’s claims of being a top student, branding him a “first-class student” in dishonesty and suggesting he holds a “PhD in lies.” Uma questioned the fulfillment of YSRCP’s promises, particularly regarding prohibition, highlighting the alleged increase in electricity charges despite pledges of reduction.
He accused the government of benefiting from sand, land, mining, and alcohol mafias, alleging funds were transferred to Tadepalli Palace. Uma also criticized discrepancies in education schemes, alleging reductions in beneficiaries and suggesting ulterior motives for their implementation. Additionally, he questioned Jagan’s commitment to farmers, criticizing the handling of projects and accusing him of political theatrics.
