Yesterday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accompanied by several ministers, visited the Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple. However, during the puja, Revanth Reddy and ministers Komatireddy Venkatreddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy chose to sit on the large pedestal, while Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka sat on a smaller one. This action drew criticism from the BRS and the BSP, who accused the Congress party of disrespecting the Dalit leader in the presence of God.
Responding to the incident, Bhatti Vikramarka clarified that his seating arrangement at Yadadri was misinterpreted and exaggerated. He explained that he deliberately chose the smaller chair and emphasized that special pujas were conducted at the temple. Today, he attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Singareni Guest House in Banjara Hills, where he reiterated his stance on the matter.
