Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka expressed that he is yet to receive a response from Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the Parliament security breach incident. Bhatti participated in the dharna organized by the I.N.D.I.A. alliance at Indira Park in Hyderabad, protesting the suspension of opposition MPs in Parliament. During the event, he remarked on the current state of the country, stating that despite the sacrifices made for its freedom, there is now an atmosphere of anarchy. Bhatti accused the BJP government of undermining democracy, emphasizing the collective responsibility to protect it.
Questioning the existence of genuine democracy, he highlighted the lack of freedom of speech in the country and criticized the authorities for making arrests when questions are raised. Bhatti found it appalling that 146 MPs were suspended for seeking an explanation on the attack on Parliament House, asserting that the BJP has neglected its duty to defend both Parliament and the nation. He characterized the rule of Narendra Modi as exhibiting dictatorial tendencies.
