Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy distributed the fifth installment of YSR Kalyanamastu and YSR Shaadi Tofa funds. The funds were directly deposited into the accounts of the mothers with the press of a button. A total of Rs. 78.53 crore in financial assistance was provided to 10,132 eligible couples who were married in the October-December 2023 quarter, with the money deposited into the accounts of the brides’ mothers.
During the event, Jagan expressed, “Today marks another auspicious occasion by the grace of God. In our effort to promote education among underprivileged children, both the groom and the bride are required to have completed at least class 10. Education holds the potential to transform our destiny and shape our future. The power to change our fate lies within our hands.” He emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting impoverished parents in educating their children and conducting their marriages with dignity.
