Aamaravati: CM Jagan has initiated the distribution of tablets to 8th-grade students in government schools in Andhra Pradesh. The program was inaugurated by Jagan at Chintapalli in the Alluri Seetharama Raju district. This marks the second consecutive year in which the government is providing tablets to students.
CM Jagan emphasized that the scheme aims to empower Andhra Pradesh students to excel on international platforms. This year, a total of 4,34,185 tablets will be distributed to students across 9,424 schools in the state, with an estimated cost of Rs 620 crore. “Byju’s content worth Rs 15,500 is preloaded in these tablets, and the tablet’s price is Rs 17,500, providing a benefit of Rs 33,000 per student,” he stated.
