Vijayawada: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu is currently touring areas affected by the cyclone Michaung. Departing from his residence in Undavalli, the former chief minister extended support and encouragement to farmers whose crops suffered damage. As per sources, today, Chandrababu is scheduled to visit Tenali, Vemuru, and Bapatla constituencies, where he will stay overnight. During the tour, Chandrababu stopped at Devendrapadu, where he met protesting farmers.
Expressing their grievances, the farmers lamented the lack of government assessment for crop losses. Chandrababu assured the people that their difficulties would be addressed within the next three months. He questioned the absence of ministers in the fields to understand the farmers’ plight. Chandrababu also pointed out the government’s inability to pay crop insurance premiums.
