The TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP have forged an alliance in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the general elections. With 175 assembly seats in AP, TDP is contesting on 144 seats, Jana Sena on 21, and BJP on 10. Additionally, the state has 25 Lok Sabha seats, with TDP contesting on 17, BJP on 6, and Jana Sena on 2 seats. In light of this alliance, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu made significant remarks during a special workshop held in Vijayawada for TDP MLA and MP candidates.
He emphasized that candidate selection underwent thorough scrutiny post the alliance formation, with the primary goal being the victory of each candidate. Naidu expressed confidence in the alliance’s potential to secure over 160 assembly seats in AP and projected the NDA alliance at the Centre to clinch more than 400 Lok Sabha seats. Encouraging candidates to embody the spirit of the NDA, regardless of party affiliation, he underscored the alliance’s groundwork as the commencement of a promising 30-year journey.
