Amaravati: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, along with Jana Sena chief K. Pawan Kalyan, participated in a Central Election Commission (CEC) review meeting in Andhra Pradesh, focusing on the preparations for upcoming elections. The meeting, attended by CEC officials Rajiv Kumar, Arun Goel, and Anup Chandra Panda, served as a platform for leaders from various political parties to discuss election-related issues.

Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan filed a complaint with the CEC, highlighting irregularities in the preparation of the voter list in Andhra Pradesh. They raised concerns about false cases registered against political leaders, citing over 200 imprisonments in connection with the Punganur violence incident and the registration of 7,000 cases against TDP and JSP leaders. Naidu stressed the need for experienced officials overseeing elections, objecting to the appointment of over 2,600 women police officers as Booth Level Officials. He urged the CEC to deploy central forces and officials for a fair election process.

Both leaders conveyed concerns about alleged police intimidation by the ruling party and requested measures to protect democracy. The CEC assured them of taking necessary actions for a peaceful election. Additionally, Naidu and Pawan Kalyan raised issues with discrepancies in the deletion and addition of votes, emphasizing the need for corrective measures.
