Amaravati: During the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly’s budget session, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy addressed criticisms of the budget raised by TDP leaders. He defended the allocations, emphasizing their focus on public welfare and refuting claims about the state’s debts. Buggana accused the previous TDP government of failing to fulfill manifesto promises and highlighted the YSRCP government’s successful implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer schemes.
Buggana Rajendra Reddy criticized N. Chandrababu Naidu for not delivering on promised zero-interest loans and insufficient allocation to the Kapu community. He also highlighted the YSRCP government’s prioritization of welfare spending and successful implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer schemes. In contrast to the TDP’s tenure, Reddy claimed that the YSRCP government had managed lower debt levels and received support from YSRCP members for the budget allocations.
