Former minister and BRS working president K Chandrasekhar Rao criticized the Congress government on Monday for attempting to remove Charminar from the official emblem of Telangana state. KT Rama Rao expressed his outrage on the popular social media platform ‘X’ on Thursday, where he also attached two photographs of Charminar to his post.
“Charminar has been a symbol of Hyderabad for centuries, known worldwide. When one thinks of Hyderabad, Charminar immediately comes to mind. This historical structure possesses all the qualities to be recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. However, the Congress government is now attempting to remove Charminar from the state’s logo under frivolous pretexts. What a shame,” KTR stated.
