BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, questioning why individuals who spread fake news are not jailed. In a tweet on Friday, KTR accused the CM of spreading several falsehoods.

KTR highlighted four points where he claimed Revanth Reddy propagated lies: alleging that his relative received a COVID contract worth Rs 10,000 crore, fabricating stories about Nizam’s jewelry being buried under the secretariat, circulating fake videos involving Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and posting a fake Osmania University circular. KTR questioned why someone spreading such fake news can’t be jailed.

Additionally, TSRTC MD Sajjanar clarified that the new TSRTC logo being circulated on social media is false and has not been officially released. Reacting strongly to this, KTR questioned why no legal action was taken against those spreading misinformation about the logo. He warned that if the public is harassed based on false claims by political figures, they would be taken to court. He noted that the Congress shared the fake TSRTC logo in a WhatsApp group and subsequently filed illegal cases, criticizing this as an example of how the Congress government operates.
