Koratala Siva is one of the leading directors in Tollywood known to make a great first impression with a super hit film. His success in delivering blockbusters for big stars has made him one of the top directors in Tollywood. But his latest film Acharya failed, creating a challenging impression in his life. Nevertheless, his team-up with Jr. NTR for Devara was a huge success, and he returned to the limelight.
Whereas Devara’s success was in large part celebrated, much of the acclaim went to Jr. NTR, and thus the expectations for Devara 2 were raised even higher. Both fans and critics alike waited with hopes that Koratala would once again succeed with the sequel. During these speculations, it was rumored that Koratala’s next film would be with the actor Naga Chaitanya, which caused confusion and worry among NTR’s fans, who were worried that Devara 2 would be shelved.
But new updates from Film Nagar have cleared the air. Koratala Siva and Naga Chaitanya are actually teaming up, but not as most expected. Instead of directing the movie, Koratala is said to produce it and intends to team up with his trusted aide, Sudhakar Mikkilineni.
The direction will be left in the hands of another promising director. Though it is still not sure if Koratala will be involved in the writing of the script or only in production, the venture will be a director-producer effort. This turn of events indicates that Koratala’s association with Chaitanya is transforming into a new partnership, this time based on production and not direction, as was earlier speculated.
