Kodali Nani has announced his decision to retire from politics, declaring that the 2024 assembly elections will mark his final participation. “The 2024 elections will be my last. I won’t be contesting in 2029. My daughters have no inclination towards politics, nor does my nephew. Infrastructure development, particularly road construction requiring significant investment, remains unfinished. I have no aspirations for a ministerial position in the next government. I urge Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to allocate funds for roads, canals, and infrastructure in Gudivada.
Following this, I will step away from contesting in Gudivada, allowing others to take over. At 52, I am nearing retirement age, and it’s time to pass the baton to the younger generation. If the new leaders are given the opportunity, they can continue the work and win elections,” said Kodali Nani. This unexpected announcement has left the YSRCP high command surprised.
