Vijayawada: Former minister and Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani made controversial comments against the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), particularly in the context of the Jana Sena-BJP alliance. Addressing the media, Nani expressed concerns about the potential challenges faced by Jana Sena if it aligns with the BJP. He predicted a recurrence of past difficulties for Jana Sena in the event of joint contests with TDP in Andhra Pradesh. Nani said that Pawan Kalyan alligned with Chandrababu Naidu to become MLA.
He stated that the victory of Revanth Reddy in Telangana has sparked celebration among TDP leaders in Andhra Pradesh. Nani further added that TDP’s tendency to claim victories as their own and distance themselves from losses was evident. The strategic voting in Hyderabad aimed at challenging KCR resulted in a significant win for BRS in the broader region, he added. However, the Congress failed to secure any seats in Hyderabad. Nani criticized the TDP’s celebratory display of flags at Gandhi Bhavan, drawing parallels with NTR’s historical opposition to the Congress.
