Amaravati: The YSRTP’s history has reached its conclusion with the party merging with the Congress just a few years after its formation. Today, YSRTP chief Sharmila officially joined the Congress, prompting reactions from figures like former AP minister and YSRCP MLA Kodali Nani.
Kodali Nani downplayed the impact of Sharmila’s move on the YSRCP, stating that her joining the Congress wouldn’t lead to a division of YSRCP votes. He drew a parallel, questioning if Purandeswari’s joining the BJP would divide the TDP votes. According to him, the Congress lacks even a single percentage vote bank in AP, and those not aligned with the YSRCP would support the TDP.
