Bengaluru: Renowned actor Kichcha Sudeep has announced that he will step down as the host of the popular reality show Bigg Boss Kannada after 11 successful seasons. The actor made the revelation on social media platform X, stating that the upcoming grand finale will mark the end of his journey with the show.
“Hosting Bigg Boss Kannada has been an incredible experience for nearly 11 seasons. I am deeply grateful for the love and support I received as the host. With the upcoming finale, my journey as the host comes to an end. It has been an unforgettable journey, and I am proud of the entertainment I have delivered. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who gave me this opportunity,” Sudeep wrote.
In a recent interview, Sudeep cited internal challenges and lack of recognition for Bigg Boss Kannada as reasons behind his decision. “There were certain internal issues that influenced my decision. I felt my efforts were not adequately recognized. Compared to other language versions, Bigg Boss Kannada didn’t receive the level of respect and recognition it deserves. Without that acknowledgment, I believe my time would be better invested in films,” he said.
Since the inception of Bigg Boss Kannada, Sudeep has been the sole host, earning widespread acclaim for his engaging weekend episodes. The ongoing 11th season of the show is scheduled to conclude on January 26, 2025.
