Amaravati: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani’s recent switch from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to the YSR Congress party has triggered a wave of criticism from TDP leaders, including Buddha Venkanna, and social media groups. Despite facing attacks from figures like Buddha Venkanna, Devineni Uma, and his own brother Kesineni Chinni, Kesineni initially maintained restraint. However, he responded to his critics, including TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh, describing Lokesh as ineffective and Naidu as unreliable. Kesineni emphasized the lack of attention to public welfare by the previous Naidu government, contrasting it with Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s consistent focus on the underprivileged.

Kesineni criticized Naidu’s alleged focus on commissions and kickbacks and accused him of being disconnected from Andhra Pradesh, opting to reside comfortably in Hyderabad. He predicted that the upcoming elections would mark the end of Naidu’s political career and suggested Naidu was prepared to return to his native state of Telangana. Kesineni’s response also included dismissal of TDP leaders, including Buddha Venkanna, who criticized him, likening them to stray dogs encouraged by Naidu to attack those leaving the party. Kesineni asserted that he was not concerned about individuals who bark merely to gain favor with Naidu and Lokesh.
