Hyderabad: Hyderabad: On February 1, BRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao is set to be sworn in as an MLA. Despite being elected as an MLA from the Gajwel assembly seat in the recent polls, the former Chief Minister couldn’t take the oath in December due to a fall and subsequent hip replacement surgery.
According to party sources, the swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place in the speaker’s chamber on February 1. Having been elected as the party’s floor leader by BRS MLAs earlier, he is poised to actively participate in the forthcoming budget sessions of the assembly.
