BRS Chief and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has unveiled the party’s candidates for three Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana. Teegulla Padmarao Goud, Kyama Mallesh, and Kancharla Krishna Reddy have been nominated for the Secunderabad, Bhongir, and Nalgonda constituencies, respectively. Padmarao Goud, a former Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, will contest against Union Minister and state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy in Secunderabad, where he currently holds the position of MLA.
With this announcement, the BRS has finalized candidates for 16 out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, leaving only the Hyderabad constituency without a nominee. Hyderabad has consistently elected All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi as its representative since 2004.
