BRS MLC K Kavitha accused BJP and Congress “brotherhood” to suppress strong regional players like BRS. She alleged their conspiracy is being exposed with frequent meetings of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy with BJP’s central ministers and also the Narendra Modi government’s soft response to Revanth’s interests.
She made it clear that such a soft relationship only led to the Governor’s nod for the ACB to file a case in connection with the Formula-E race case and swift action by Central agencies like the ED which registered a case on the same charges.
According to Kavitha, both parties’ political interests and policies are similar. They do not want strong regional leaders like K Chandrasekhar Rao, Uddhav Thackarey and Sharad Pawar, who are identified with regional aspirations.
Moreover, she alleged that both the parties are anti- farmer and known for their repressive measures. She recalled that both parties were undermining agriculture and failing to address agrarian distress. She pointed out that the Revanth Reddy government was reportedly planning to adopt the PM-KISAN scheme rules for the proposed Rythu Bharosa scheme in Telangana, which she felt would adversely impact a large number of farmers.
She also stated that both the parties are adopting diversion and revenge politics by targeting the opposition. Kavitha also accused that BJP leaders Bandi Sanjay Kumar, M Raghunandan Rao and Dharmapuri Aravind for shielding the Congress government which was engaging in diversion politics.
She stated that the Revanth Reddy government failed to fulfill electoral promises like crop loan waivers, leading to auction of lands belonging to farmers in Kamareddy district. Rather than people, she alleged that the state government is working for a few select individuals. The decisions of this government are in favour of the rich, while neglecting the poor, she added.
Kavitha asserted that BRS, rooted in Telangana’s people, would continue its grassroots outreach to expose the Congress government’s failures and policies that harm Telangana’s identity, besides installing statues of Telangana Thalli planned in all villages across the State to promote the symbols of cultural identity.”We will not allow them to destroy the state’s identity and progress,” she added.
