Two of the most beloved stars in Tamil cinema are finally going to share screen space together, as their fans are excited about Suriya and Karthi’s pairing. Apparently, the beloved brothers will collaborate on Kaithi 2, which is highly awaited as a sequel to director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s popular action series in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
At the audio release of much-awaited Suriya starrer Kanguva, Karthi was presenting some eagerly hoped-for news which had all the fans talking. He took his time to praise Suriya in his unwavering passion and dedication towards cinema and that his brother has always worked to take his work a notch higher. He also spoke of his shared experiences and how he saw his brother’s excellent work as an assistant director during the making of Aayitha Ezhuthu.
The highlight of Karthi’s speech came when he revealed that he would be reprising his fan-favorite role as Dilli in Kaithi 2, scheduled for release next year. He playfully mentioned, “I have to meet Rolex in person,” hinting at the much-anticipated return of Suriya as Rolex, a revelation that thrilled the audience.
Karthy’s part as Dilli in Kaithi was a massive thing even though it’s the original one. Plus, Karthi’s voice cameo in Vikram helped make the character more popular. Suriya cameos in Vikram had been looking forward to being back again.
With Kaithi 2 promising to be another milestone in the LCU, with all the heroines and villains together, audience expectations are set for great collaboration between the talented brother duo, one of which is going to be something exciting in Tamil cinema.
