Thanks to his back-to-back superhits, the Tamil maverick filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has gained a huge fan base in the south film industry. His films Kaithi and Vikram have received immense responses from the audience as they took us to a different world by experiencing Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
As we know that recently taking one step further, Lokesh announced his next project titled Leo with Thalapathy Vijay which also connected to the young and talented filmmakers’ previous films Kaithi and Vikram.
Now as per the latest updates, Lokesh will once again team up with Karthi for Kaithi 2 after filming Leo. Yes, you heard it right! Lokesh who is planning to extend his cinematic universe with more sequels and new installments will kickstart the shooting of Kaithi 2 in 2023 itself.
For the unversed, Kaithi which is the first installment of LCU is one of the best films of 2019. The action thriller stars Karthi in the lead role while Narain, Arjun Das, George Maryan, Dheena and others appeared in vital roles.
Meanwhile, Lokesh is currently busy with his next Leo. The film stars Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha in the lead roles and also has a stellar cast with Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Sanjay Dutt, Mansoor Ali Khan, Gautham Vasudev Menon and others portraying the key roles.
Bankrolled by Lalit Kumar under the banner Seven Screen Studios, Leo is slated for a theatrical release in October of this year.
