Tollywood actor Manchu Vishnu is shelling out huge money bags for his ambitious period drama ‘Kannappa’ in which he plays the titular role as a devout follower of Lord Shiva. The multilingual film has been the talk of the town because Vishnu has roped in ensemble cast from different languages and renowned technicians from all over globe to make this a magnum opus with huge canvas.
On the eve of Maha Shivaratri, the makers unveiled the first look poster today and it has Manchu Vishnu in a magnificent avatar as a hunter who takes aim with his bow and arrow. His stunning transformation is evident with the intense look. He emerges out from a waterfall fall as he targets with his arrow.
According to Hindu folklore, Kannappa, who is well known as Bhakta Kannappa, was an ardent Shaiva follower with unshakeable devotion which brought him close to the god.
Manchu Vishnu is leaving no stone unturned to make this a memorable film in his career. Acclaimed director Mukesh Kumar, who is known for directing crowd-pleasing television serials like Mahabharata and Dharam Veer, is calling shots for this film. Vishnu wants to make a strong comeback with this dream project.
Actors like Prabhas, Mohan Lal, Kangana Ranaut, Mohan Babu and Shivaraj Kumar are playing prominent roles in the film.
