Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898AD, a dystopian science fiction thriller based on a time-travel concept, is the solo biggie that is aiming for release this Summer. The makers of this magnum opus already announced May 9th as the release date. However, rumours are rife that the film might be postponed to a later date due to the delay in the shooting activities.
Despite these speculations, the team is super confident about completing the pending activities in time and releasing the film on May 9th, a date which holds great sentiment for the production house behind Kalki 2898AD. Currently, the remaining portions involving the principal cast are being canned by the team. Prabhas and Disha Patani are taking part in the shoot.
The confidence is so high that they are chalking out a massive promotional campaign from March onwards. As Kalki is touted as the costliest Indian film to date, it needs to be promoted on a grand scale across the world. Already it made a splash at renowned global events like Comic Con.
Now, the team is planning to organize various promotional activities in different cities in India and North America. Prabhas and the rest of the team will take part in these events to create more buzz on the film.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898AD has an ensemble cast. It is being made in two parts. Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan are playing prominent roles.
