Jr NTR has emerged as one of the most desirable stars not only in Indian film but also worldwide. Jr NTR is currently basking in the glory of a string of pan-India and Bollywood projects. He recently completed shooting for War 2, a spy thriller produced by YRF with a high octane, which is in post-production stages now. The actor wasted no time and has already turned his attention to his next biggie—a giant action entertainer directed by KGF director Prashanth Neel, which is likely to release in 2026.
Adding to the excitement, NTR is set to collaborate with Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar. Nelson, who is currently working on Jailer 2, reportedly has plans to roll out his film with NTR in 2027. That’s not all—2028 will see NTR team up with renowned filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas for an ambitious mythological action drama. With such a packed slate, Jr NTR seems completely locked in for the next three years.
Amidst this flurry of big-ticket projects, speculation is mounting around Devara 2, the proposed sequel to NTR’s upcoming film Devara, directed by Koratala Siva. Industry insiders are hinting that with NTR’s schedule fully booked till at least 2028, there’s little room left for Devara 2 to go on floors anytime soon.
Unless there’s a juggling in NTR’s schedule, Koratala Siva may have to wait some four years or more before he can even start working on the sequel. For the meantime, Devara 2 is put on hold, with Jr NTR focusing on big-ticket projects and increasing his cinematic presence.
