Mangalagiri: Jana Sena PAC chairman Nadendla Manohar has raised serious allegations against the YSRCP government, asserting that funds meant for impoverished students were misused and diverted from the World Bank and the Centre . Addressing the media, he said that the Enforcement Directorate has reportedly confirmed corruption amounting to Rs 120 crore in Jagan’s education kits, with the funds allegedly redirected to specific regions like North Andhra, Tadepalli, and Rayalaseema.

Nadendla Manohar brought attention to the irregularities in distributing Rs 1,000 to each student for school maintenance, revealing that Rs 180 crore remains unpaid to schools. Despite receiving substantial funds, including Rs 700 crore from the World Bank and Rs 6,000 crore from various sources, Manohar pointed out the minimal progress in the promised educational programs after 27 months.

In the second phase, only 612 out of 13,860 additional school rooms have been completed, and just 600 out of 6,001 compounds have been constructed. Out of 23,221 schools, facilities have been implemented in only 1,174 schools. He called for a response from CM Jagan and advocated for strict action against those involved in corruption.
