Amaravati: As the Andhra Pradesh state assembly elections draw near, the Jana Sena Party, currently in an alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), is urging the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to make a swift decision regarding its participation in the alliance or contesting independently. Nadendla Manohar, the political affairs committee chairman of the Jana Sena Party, conveyed the alliance’s continuity message from party president Pawan Kalyan during a meeting with BJP state president Daggubati Purandeshwari on Thursday evening.

Additionally, he discussed the alliance issue with BJP national general secretary (organisation) Shiv Prakash, who visited Vijayawada to confer with party core committee leaders on election strategy. Purandeshwari mentioned that discussions on the alliance issue took place during the meeting with Shiv Prakash. Party sources indicate that Shiv Prakash and the core committee members sought opinions from state BJP leaders on election strategy and the potential alliance with the TDP and Jana Sena.
